In the action settings you can define custom AI instructions and how you would like your inputs to be displayed.

Defining the prompt and its inputs

A prompt is an instruction we give to the AI to generate text.

We will begin with an empty prompt:

Let’s start by defining our prompt. For this example it will summarize a text into bullet points:

💡 Note some input names are reserved for specific functionality in Shopia. [language] is one of these cases and we refer to them as shortcodes. When running this step, [language] will be replaced by the user’s default output language.

Now we can see our input [text to summarize] is displayed:

Changing input settings

Let’s change the behaviour of this input to allow it to be a file or URL content. First we go to the displayed input settings:

💡 As we can see only [Text to summarize] has options to change the input display. [language] being a shortcode does not have an displayed input.

We can add the options we want here. we’ll turn on ‘add files & URLs’:

Our input can now be a file or URL content as expected:
