A Shopia Document is much more than a document editor. Shopia Documents combine an intelligent text editor with a suite of different AI tools to help you brainstorm, write, edit, and research content. If you're looking to craft a a work report, presentation, article or just about anything, documents are a great place for you and your team to get started.

All of Shopia's tools can be highly personalized to your business and writing style. They can write content just the way you want and they can help you find and analyze anything related to your work.

In this guide you will learn the following:

  • Layout of a document

  • The AI tools you can use

  • How to export or share documents

  • How to add comments

  • How to import a document

1. Document Layout

1.1 Document Name

To give your document a name, you can write it down on the document header, or at the top of the editor itself.

1.2 Editor

On the right-hand side of the document is the editor. This is where your main content will be. Anything you write will be automatically saved.

The editor itself can be used to write content for you using the Editor AI (More details on this feature below).

1.3 Main Tabs

The left-hand panel contains different tools that help you with content creation. This includes Workflows, Chat, Smart Search, and more. The next section covers these tools in more detail.

2. AI Tools in Documents

2.1 Document Editor AI

Adding Text

Within the editor, you can type \ on a new line and instruct the AI to write anything you like.

Editing Text

You can also highlight text and use AI to:

  • Improve the text's grammar and phrasing

  • Rephrase the text

  • Expand or lengthen the text

  • Shorten the text

  • Search Knowledgebase for information relevant to text

2.2 Workflows

Workflows contain over 60 AI-powered templates for marketing and sales related workflows. Templates are designed to help you:

  • Write marketing and sales copy such as ads, social media posts, and more.

  • Editing and improve existing content

  • Perform market and competitor research

Workflows are highly customisable, allowing you to build your own template, adjust inputs, edit prompts and combine templates. To learn more about Workflows, click here.

2.3 Article Wizard

A quick access button to open up the Article Wizard. The Article Wizard is an easy-to-use multi-step tool to help you write original, factual, and SEO-optimized articles in no time.

Once you generate a draft in the wizard, you can add it directly to your document.

2.4 Chat

Access a chat interface to help you all sorts of tasks. Shopia Chat can help you brainstorm ideas, write content, research the web, chat over existing resources, and even edit your document for you directly.

Shopia Chat has 4 modes:

  • Auto: General purpose AI chat that can also access the web to find relevant information.

  • Just Chat: Disables web search capabilities and allows you to speak directly with an AI.

  • Knowledgebase: Chat about Knowledgebase resources by uploading files and links to your Knowledgebase.

  • Editor: Chat about your document. You can ask the AI to review your document, make adjustments and add more content to it.

2.5 Smart Search

Smart Search helps you query your Knowledgebase and instantly retrieve information from your uploaded files and links. If you have a question about something buried deep in 100s of pages of documentation, Shopia helps you locate it.

Smart Search is perfect if you have:

  • Company or feature documents

  • Technical documentation

  • Competitor links and brochures

Enable AI answer to use AI to generate a concise response to your query. Ask it something about your competitor, a technical question or something general about your company and its features.

Keep in mind Smart Search is generic and can work on any type of documents or links you have in your Knowledgebase.

2.6 SEO

The SEO tool allows you to grade and optimize your document for SEO. By adding a target keyword and region, you can select top ranking articles to use as reference to evaluate your document.

The SEO tool will:

  • Score your document out 100 for SEO

  • Provide guidelines on how to improve your score

  • Preview top ranking articles for your target keyword

  • Generate NLP terms that can boost your SEO score

  • Identify Frequently Asked Questions relevant to your topic

2.7 Media

This tool allows you to add images and embed videos into your document.

For images, you can add stock images via Unsplash. Alternatively, you can generate an AI image using Dalle-3.

You can also search for YouTube videos that may be relevant to your document and embed it into your document.

2.8 Document Manager

Content brief

The Content brief section shows a summary of the context used to write this article. By toggling the different fields, you are providing the document editor AI this context to help it generate with awareness of the topic you are writing about.

SEO

This section allows you to quickly edit the target URL slug, meta title, and meta description of your article. You can also navigate to the full SEO tab on the document for further analysis.

Quality checks

This section contains a plagiarism checker to validate the content generated is original.

Repurposing your content

The next two sections, Multi-channel campaigns and Translate, allow you t0 seamlessly repurpose your draft into different forms of content for your marketing campaign. You can repurpose into:

  • Ads

  • Scripts

  • Emails

  • Social media posts

  • Other languages

If you've already defined a Voice for different forms of content, you can also set a Voice here to make sure your repurposed content is using the intended writing style and tone.

Team & organization
