Smart search uses AI to look through multiple files and URLs at once to find the information you are looking for. The following guide is for using smart search within workflow steps. Let’s create a new workflow and choose the first step’s action to be ‘smart search’:

Let’s say we want to search for 5 most relevant pieces information on AI applications within our collection of files and URLs:

Before we continue, let’s make sure our knowledge-base has all the resources we want to search. Click on ‘settings’ in the bottom-right and then go to the knowledge-base tab. In this example we have added the shopia homepage and a wikipedia article about AI:

Once you’ve uploaded the resources you want, go back to your workflow and click ‘search’. In this example we can see a list of paragraphs was retrieved along with the resource that they came from:

💡 Unlike text generation, smart search doesn’t create unique texts. Smart search returns the most relevant information it can find within your knowledge-base, exactly as it was written within the original source.
